Description: This weave embodies the strength, protection, and resilience of the Niho Taniwha pattern, representing the teeth of the taniwha. The repetitive design speaks to whakapapa - the interwoven stories, histories, tikanga, and mātauranga passed down through generations. A symbol of guardianship and trust, this piece acknowledges those who guide and protect, both seen and unseen.

Materials: Each kete includes a beautifully crafted MDF board with a high-quality painted finish, carefully selected aho colours, a pattern to guide your weave, and the artist’s kōrero - offering inspiration for you to adapt and make your own unique creation.
